Pancakes and more for Moratorium weekend

It is Iraq Moratorium weekend again, Friday-Sunday, with lots of Wisconsin events to call for an end to the wars and occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan.   I'll be at the Midwest Renewable Energy Fair in Custer Friday morning for Pancakes for Peace, sponsored by the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice (WNPJ), of which I am co-chair.  Join us if you can.  Info at www.wnpj.org

If you can't eat pancakes for peace, there are plenty of other activities in Wisconsin this weekend.  Here's a list.  http://iraqmoratoriumwis.blogspot.com

Can't attend any of those?  Here's something you can do from home:  Please consider a donation or membership in the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice, which links 165 organizations across the state working for social justice and for an end to the conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan.

It is largely because of WNPJ's involvement that Wisconsin has had more Iraq Moratorium events on a monthly basis than any other state.

WNPJ also coordinated the local referendum campaigns, calling for bringing US troops home from Iraq,  a few years ago, attracting national attention with the grassroots sentiments it highlighted.

Right now, WNPJ is at the forefront of the Bring the Guard Home campaign, to pass legislation insuring that federal callups of Wisconsin's National Guard are legal and constitutional.  We believe the current deployment to Iraq  does not meet that test. You'll find more about that campaign to pass Assembly Bill 203 on the WNPJ website, too.

You can join or donate to WNPJ here:  http://wnpj.org/Donate-Join

Thanks in advance for whatever you can do.  It all matters.

WNPJ

The WNPJ is totally involved and that is a wonderful thing. It's best to get involved. Sometimes we see things or hear about them from television or other sources and soon forget about it. We must bring the troops home. Kudos to WNPJ to keep the momentum going to bring our troops home from the Iraq and Afghanistan war. I missed the Pancakes for Peace but thanks for adding a list of events. casino en ligne
