Jennifer Nordstrom, a Wisconsin native now working with Carbon Free, Nuclear Free, a campaign 
Jennifer Nordstromof the Institute for Energy and Environmental Research (IEER), will be speaking at Racy D'Lene's Coffee Lounge on November 11, 2009. . Her presentation will be on “Carbon Free and Nuclear Free: Wisconsin Can Be Both.” IEER recently completed a study, Carbon-Free and Nuclear-Free: A Roadmap for U.S. Energy Policy. Based on the study, the campaign aims to get the United States to commit to a zero CO2 emissions economy without the use of nuclear power by 2050. Nordstrom organizes and coordinates the campaign, including its federal legislative, state and regional, and public education and outreach strategies.
Nordstrom came to IEER from the nuclear disarmament movement. She has spent the past several years as project manager of the Reaching Critical Will project of the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom. There, she organized civil society networks at the international level, focusing on international policy and law on nuclear weapons.She also served as the NGO liaison to the UN for the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty and the UN General Assembly’s First Committee on Disarmament and International Security.
Nordstrom’s visit is sponsored by Uppity Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Network for Peace and Justice. Nordstrom’s visit to Eau Claire is part of a statewide tour sponsored by a broad coalition of 14 organizations in Wisconsin working to keep the current Nuclear Plant law on the books in the face of an industry-sponsored campaign to repeal the current law

Evidently those writing these comments haven't kept up with the global warming and nuclear situations. More and more Nations and scientists (real ones) are now saying that their is no global warming and that Gore's warnings were simply a hoax. Nothing wrong with nuclear, as new technology has made it even safer than before. France is almost going total nuclear as are some othr countries. It is the only viable way to go. Get out of the dark and join the sane people!
Sane people are willing to say who they are -- and have something more convincing than "MORE AND MORE NATIONS AND SCIENTISTS" -- um - that could mean 2 people rather than the one last week.
